Romero Strategies, LLC is an international Latinx-led leadership consulting and people capacity development firm dedicated to supporting individuals and teams meet their highest potential. We are committed to meaningfully cultivating the mindsets and skills of people across the world, leading to transformation of self, spaces, systems, and communities.
Our Founder & CEO
Dr. Jancarlos (J.C.) Wagner-Romero
Dr. Jancarlos (J.C.) Wagner-Romero is Founder, Chief Executive Officer, and Principal Consultant of Romero Strategies, LLC. Dr. Wagner-Romero brings a depth of knowledge and experiences to leadership development and capacity building. With a strong background in people coaching, he has served in numerous roles within the realm of formal and informal education (K-12 and higher education), as well as the non-profit sector.
Dr. Wagner-Romero is a former Chief Academic Officer for a network of public schools and served the City of New Orleans as a teacher, instructional coach, principal, and network-level Executive Director of Leadership Development. He also brings international experience to the firm after having spent several years in Bangkok, Thailand as Deputy Head of School and Instructional Coach of a British International School, as well as a lead faculty member for a graduate education program. Dr. Romero is renowned for his turnaround work, supporting schools and organizations with strategic, organizational and DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) planning through one-on-one and group coaching and consulting.
Until 2022, Dr. Wagner-Romero served as Director of Adult and Basic Education at Delgado Community College and as a faculty member in the Department of Education at Tulane University in New Orleans. He is a former elected official, having served as vice president and District 4 representative of the New Orleans Public School Board.

Latinx Success Leadership Series
Applications for the April 2024 cohort will open in January 2024!
The Latinx Success Leadership Series is a 4-part collaborative opportunity that brings together reflective Latinx-identifying or Latinx-supporting leaders (or aspiring leaders) from across the United States. This series is focused on engaging in robust dialogue around identity in leadership, recognizing and navigating opportunity gaps within Latinx leadership, and cultivating the knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary to center Latinx leadership in a vast variety of settings.
This program is held online, via Zoom, and cannot enroll more than 30 participants per session to ensure meaningful, authentic engagement. Participants will be asked to engage in pre-work in preparation for each session, and they will be supported through this journey by brilliant mentors from around the country. Mentors are established Latinx-identifying leaders who have spent their careers working to build the capacity of others to effect change in communities world-wide. Previous mentors for the Romero Strategies Latinx Success Leadership Series have included non-profit founders, PK-12 education leaders, higher education administrators, healthcare professionals, former special assistant to the President of the United States and other accomplished change agents.
